Warranty

Every Flex Systems junction box is covered by a 12-month warranty against manufacturing defects and defects in the materials used to manufacture the product.

Warranty Coverage

Every Flex Systems junction box is covered by a 12-month warranty from the original date of purchase.

If a product is found to have a manufacturing defect or a defect in the materials supplied by Flex Systems during normal intended use within the warranty period, Flex Systems will repair or replace the product at our discretion.

What Is Covered

  • Manufacturing defects
  • Defects in the materials used to manufacture the product
  • Failure of the product during normal intended use
  • Premature failure of supplied hardware or cable glands

What Is Not Covered

This warranty does not cover damage resulting from:

  • Incorrect installation or wiring
  • Electrical faults external to the product
  • Physical damage, impact, misuse or abuse
  • Vehicle or trailer accidents
  • Modification of the product
  • Exposure to unsuitable chemicals or solvents
  • Use outside the product’s intended purpose
  • Normal cosmetic wear and ageing
  • Water submersion or prolonged immersion

Installation and Use

Flex Systems products must be installed using good electrical practice, suitable wiring methods and appropriate mounting methods.

Damage caused by the following is not covered:

  • Over-tightening cable glands or fasteners
  • Using cables outside the specified size range
  • Excessive force during installation
  • Incorrect mounting or inadequate support
  • Incorrect wiring or circuit protection

Environmental Exposure

Flex Systems junction boxes are manufactured from PETG and are designed for normal outdoor trailer use.

Long-term exposure to sunlight, weather, harsh chemicals or extreme conditions may cause cosmetic ageing over time. Cosmetic changes that do not affect the operation of the product are not considered a manufacturing defect.

Water Exposure

Flex Systems junction boxes are designed for normal outdoor trailer use, including exposure to rain, road spray and general weather conditions.

They are not designed to be submerged in water or used in applications where prolonged water ingress is expected. Damage resulting from submersion, prolonged immersion or use outside the product’s intended application is not covered by this warranty.

Making a Warranty Claim

To make a warranty claim, please provide:

  • Your name and contact details
  • Proof of purchase
  • The product purchased
  • A description of the fault
  • Clear photos of the product and issue, where applicable

Consumer Guarantees Act

Nothing in this warranty excludes, restricts or modifies any rights you may have under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or other applicable consumer law.

These statutory rights apply in addition to the warranty provided by Flex Systems.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Flex Systems’ liability under this warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of the affected product.

Flex Systems is not responsible for installation or removal costs, loss of income, consequential loss, or damage caused by incorrect installation or wiring.
